Built: 1831 Type: Conical Brick Tower Height: 43 feet Status: Destroyed Location: Choctaw Pass, Gulf of Mexico Keepers: Sterling Thrower (1831-1834), A. P. Philbert (?-1842), Carmelite Philbert (1842-1852-died in hurricane in August 1852), Elizabeth Michold (c. 1850s-1862). Notes: This lighthouse was damaged in the Civil War. The lighthouse remnants remained visible until about 1917. |
