Mobile Point (Rear Range) was located at the Mobile Bay enterance.
It was constructed in 1873 of iron and is painted black.
The tower is 30 feet tall.
The tower was dismantled in 1979 and later restored near the enterance to Fort Morgan, AL visitor parking lot.
The lens was removed and placed in the Fort Morgan Museum in 1966.

The original tower was deactivated in 1966 when it was replaced by a 120 ft. skeletal tower.
